My journey in photography began with wedding and fashion photography, where my work
quickly gained recognition. In the early 1990s, I was invited to photograph the Miss World
finalists during their visit to the Kruger National Park.
Several of my wedding photographs were selected as Beeld and Pretoria News Bride of the
Month winners, while other images were featured as Rooi Rose front-page photographs.
My work later expanded into tourism and wildlife photography. I was commissioned by
SATOUR (South African Tourism) to photograph the Limpopo and Free State provinces,
capturing their landscapes, wildlife and natural beauty. My wildlife photographs were also
used by SAA and SATOUR as exhibition material at INDABA at the Durban ICC, one of
Africa’s leading tourism and leisure trade shows.
My passion for bird photography led to further recognition, with SATOUR selecting my bird
images for its annual hanging calendar, carrying the fitting message:
Today, my passion remains focused on photography, particularly the wildlife and smaller
creatures that are so often overlooked.
“Nature will come to you; be patient.”
